• Confirm the reference date. Many forms ask for age “as of a specific date” (e.g. 1 July 2026). Enter that date in the reference field instead of relying on today.
• Use full years/months/days for official forms. Most government forms accept years-months-days; some accept years only — pick accordingly.
• Take a screenshot or copy the result. Some forms require you to declare age in words; the Copy button gives you a ready-to-paste summary.
• For Feb 29 birthdays: the calculator handles leap years correctly. If you were born on 29 Feb, your non-leap-year birthday is treated using the standard rule (1 March in many countries, 28 Feb in others — check your form).

Common mistakes to avoid

• Mixing up day and month. The native date picker avoids this, but if you type a date manually, double-check DD vs MM.
• Forgetting leap years. A year is 365 days, except leap years. The calculator accounts for this automatically.
• Using “years only” when months and days are required. Some forms reject incomplete age — use the default years-months-days mode unless told otherwise.
